I’ll call you and we’ll chat about your healthcare needs. Because the Obamacare system uses a sliding scale based on income, we’ll start off by chatting about that so that I can give you a quick quote. If you’ve provided me with any info on your doctors or prescriptions, I’ll help you narrow your options to insurance companies that work for your needs. From there, I’ll walk you through the boring application. It usually takes me less than an hour to guide someone through the application and enrollment process.

You’ll need to have the following information on-hand for our chat:
• Your current income
• Any deductions you take on your tax return
• Names and social security numbers for yourself and any family members who you’d like to include on your plan
• If you aren’t a US citizen, we’ll need some information from your passport or visa

  • If you remember your coveredca.com username and password, please go ahead and log in. If you’ve forgotten, don’t try to guess – if you get it wrong a couple of times it will lock you out. Instead, go through the prompts to recover your username and password.
  • Once you’re logged in, click on the button on the top right that says “get help”, then click on “find an agent”.
  • You’ll see three pictures – underneath the middle one, click on the button that says “Find Agent”
  • You’ll see some search fields. On the upper right hand side under “First Name,” type in “Ariana”
  • Ariana should be the top result. If you click on the blue hyperlink of “Ariana Brill,” it will take you her profile and you’ll see her silly picture.
  • Click on the yellow “continue” button.
  • On the next page, check all three boxes, then type your full name into the field (exactly as you see it) and press go.
  • If you already have an agent designated, go back to the home screen. On the right-hand side, underneath “Actions” you’ll see the “Resources” heading. Underneath that, click on “Manage Delegations” and remove your former agent. Then go through the delegation process again.
  • If you run into trouble, call 800-300-1506 and they can help you designate Ariana as your agent over the phone.

How it works

I typically guide people over the phone, but it’s fun to meet over a coffee or beer if you happen to be near me. It usually takes me less than an hour to guide someone through the application and enrollment process. Because the Obamacare system uses a sliding scale based on income, it’s helpful if you can have some information about your current income when we chat (a paystub or last year’s income tax return is perfect). We’ll also need birth dates, social security numbers, or immigration information for you (and your partner or children). From there, we can figure out what options are available to you. We’ll chat about your healthcare needs, figure out which options will be best for you, and enroll you in a plan that you feel good about.
